Julia Fiser, ranked #9 at the Innsbruck World Cup 2024, completed Tunnelblick (8c+) in Achleiten after nearly five years of project work. She attributed her success to an intense endurance training block completed just before her ascent, which allowed her to reach the crux without excessive pump and maintain the mental clarity needed to send. Fiser emphasized that the extended journey—rather than quick success—developed her into a stronger climber both physically and mentally, highlighting how consistent training and persistence transformed her approach to difficult climbing. Simone Tentori, with seven 8C ascents, completed Ephyra (8C+) in Chironico by focusing on perfecting the crux sequences through deliberate practice, including static footwork on the stand. He credited improved mental training and a relaxed approach—avoiding pressure despite being close to sending—as key factors in what he describes as his most memorable climbing moment and hardest ascent to date.
