The registry operates through two planes—a Governance Plane for admins to configure compliance and security policies, and a Discovery Plane for consumers to access only approved resources—and includes organization-wide auto-detection to surface shadow agents deployed across AWS accounts. Early adopters like Southwest Airlines, PepsiCo, and Syngenta report significant reductions in redundant development and faster discovery workflows. The roadmap includes enhanced security assessments, compliance evaluations, federation for non-AWS resources, policy-driven visibility controls, and native integrations with IDEs and productivity tools.
