Instructor training expands
The instructor pipeline just got more accessible.
Backbone State Park is running natural rock climbing instructor certification, requiring prior COPE and Climbing Foundation training before entry [Quelle: Winnebago Council]. The curriculum covers technique, safety, and outdoor teaching craft—building qualified guides who can scale capacity for indoor gyms and outdoor programs without bottlenecking on expert availability. Instructor shortages often choke youth and beginner access before gym capacity does.
