Your chance to reshape Ithaca's buses starts now.
TCAT is hosting the first of three community outreach sessions today (August 19, 4–6 p.m.) at Tompkins County Public Library to gather rider feedback on improving local transit [Quelle: Ithaca Voice]. Staff and representatives from the eRide pilot program, which launched in June offering affordable curb-to-curb electric van rides to West Hill, West End, and Ithaca Flats, will be present to hear concerns and ideas. No RSVP needed—just show up with your transit wishes.
Two more sessions follow on August 22 and 29 if you miss today.
County budget crisis looms
Tompkins County is bracing for a painful budget year.
County Legislature Chair Shawna Black warned that the coming fiscal year will be "very difficult," signaling tough choices ahead on spending and services [Quelle: Tompkins Weekly].
